Isn’t it nice to wake up in the morning and find several messages on your phone? Or receive a text message from someone reminding you that it’s lunch time already? Or suddenly hear your mobile phone beeping in the middle of the afternoon? Sounds sweet right?
But what if through those text messages you are technically reviewing and at the same time learning…giving you additional knowledge in nursing concepts which enhances your competency?
Sounds a bit odd? Apparently, CBRC made it possible for their students. As Dr. Balita’s legacy to provide the best review for the future nurses, he continues to make use of the most innovative and most recent learning techniques in the nursing review.
Aside from the usual text reminders, board exam-like questions are being fed to the students through SMS (short messaging service) or simply what we refer to as text messaging. After a few hours, it is then followed by another message which contains the correct answer to the question which was sent earlier together with the rationalization. Several “question followed by the answer and rationalization”-type of messages were being sent to the students throughout the day until the remaining days prior to their board exam.
This is also one way of encouraging or reminding the CBRC students to study. Through this, they can review and prepare for the board exam anytime and even anywhere after their daily review classes at the center.
